Introduction:

Generation Victoria, or GenV, is a population-based study that aims to gather data from every newborn family in Victoria. This initiative is designed to collect inclusive and comprehensive data from culturally diverse family units at various intervals. By partnering with WeGuide, GenV aims to create an inclusive research approach that represents diverse community experiences and supports future healthcare improvements.

The challenge:

As Generation Victoria (GenV) aimed to create a population-based study involving 100,000 newborn families, they recognized the challenges ahead. Engaging with such a large and diverse population required a scalable strategy to reach families across Victoria, many of whom came from varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Gathering data from these families required a thoughtful strategy that could adapt to the linguistic, cultural, and technological diversity present in the region. The purpose was to create an environment where every family felt supported and motivated to participate in this important study. At the same time, the study demanded an approach that could sustain participation over time while balancing accessibility and inclusivity with the need for efficient and accurate data collection. Recognising the scale of this task, GenV partnered with WeGuide from the very beginning to design a solution capable of streamlining communication, simplifying processes, and fully integrating with their advanced IT systems.

The solution:

WeGuide collaborated closely with GenV to implement a digital platform that addressed these challenges. WeGuide utilised behavioural science techniques alongside multicultural accessibility features to optimise participation, ensuring families could engage with the data collection process easily. These methods not only facilitated ongoing surveys but also enhanced the overall experience for families involved in the study. Moreover, the integration of advanced IT systems with GenV's platform allowed for a seamless data collection process. Families can easily provide their information without the difficulty of navigating complex procedures.

The outcomes:

The collaboration between GenV and WeGuide has resulted in over 100,000 families actively engaging with the study. WeGuide's platform-efficient data collection methods have demonstrated high participant adherence rates, allowing researchers to gather important information about newborn families in Victoria. Furthermore, operational effectiveness has significantly improved, with reduced administrative burdens and more streamlined research processes. With the data collected, researchers can gain valuable insights into the diverse experiences of newborn families in Victoria.

Conclusion:

WeGuide's digital platform transformed GenV's research approach by creating an innovative solution that enables families from varied cultural and technological backgrounds to easily participate. This innovative approach ensures inclusive and comprehensive data collection, demonstrating how targeted technology can enhance research capabilities. By creating a platform that values the unique experiences of each family, WeGuide reshaped the approach to patient engagement, proving that well-designed digital solutions can make research more accessible and reflect community diversity.
