To make participant recruitment and enrollment easier, WeGuide’s new feature, QR Code Login, eliminates the need for passwords and verification codes by allowing participants to log in instantly with a quick scan of a unique QR code.
Clinicians and researchers can now recruit participants seamlessly at events or in clinics. From the WeGuide admin portal, they can create a participant profile, enroll them in a program, and generate a secure QR code in seconds. The participant then opens the WeGuide app, taps "Login with QR," and scans the code—instantly logging in and engaging with the platform. The QR code automatically expires after thirty minutes, after use, or when a new one is created, ensuring security at every step. If the camera is not working, the app will guide users through fixing it. This feature is also available on Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), making login effortless across different devices.
How to use QR Code Login:
For Participants
- Open the WeGuide app or PWA
- Tap “Login with QR”
- Scan the provided QR code
- No need to enter a password or wait for an email. If camera permissions are off, the app will guide you through fixing them.
For Admins
- In the WeGuide admin portal, enable QR login via your implementation manager.
- Create a participant profile and enroll them in a program
- Generate and share the QR code for instant login
The code stays valid for thirty minutes or until used, and generating a new one cancels any previous versions automatically. This simplifies enrollment and reduces login-related support requests.
