WeGuide and Garmin Health announce a grant opportunity tailored for pioneering medical and wellbeing researchers and innovative digital health startups. This grant is your gateway if you conduct research trials requiring participant engagement and wearable data collection.
The grant includes a complimentary licence for the WeGuide platform, complete with mobile application and expert onboarding for seamless digital solution configuration. Additionally, recipients will receive up to ten Garmin wearables to facilitate comprehensive data collection.
Applications are open until September 30, 2024, and this is an exclusive chance to advance your research initiatives. Up to three deserving applicants will benefit from this transformative opportunity.
Who is eligible to apply
The applicants should be researchers from established, credentialled research organisations (Universities, Medical Research Institutes) and researchers working within a digital health startup. What does the Grant provide
The Grant will allow the researcher to use the WeGuide platform to facilitate participant engagement and data collection and provide ten (10) Garmin wearables for seamless data collection.
The platform access will also include participant applications (native mobile application and web application), Implementation of the research protocol and data collection questionnaires, forms and messaging, implementation of the Garmin wearables to collect the additional data from the participants, hosting of all data in compliance with Australian privacy and security requirements, and provide technical support for the duration of the grant.
The implementation team of WeGuide will work with the researcher to configure and implement the research trial and collect the data from the patient on the WeGuide platform.Researchers will be provided training and onboarding to the WeGuide platform as part of the Grant.
The value of this grant is worth over $10,000, representing the cost of all the above software, implementation, and devices.

Selection Criteria
A panel comprising WeGuide and Garmin Health personnel will decide on the winner(s) of the grant based on the following:
- The innovation and uniqueness of the research.
- Suitability of the research topic to be able to be used on the WeGuide platform.
- Data collection requirement from the wearable device.
- The participant engagement component is a crucial success factor of the research.
- The organisation and researcher's track record in previous similar areas of research.
- The potential for further research and/or commercialisation of the researched idea.

Terms & Conditions
The winners of the grant will be notified in writing within 30 days of the application closing date of 30/9/2024. Late applications will not be considered.
